Not every client requires an initial survey to move forward with their fireplace project. Many people know exactly what they want and what they would like to achieve.

For those people who are looking for an idea of price, by answering a few simple questions and providing a few images of the property, we are happy and able to provide a FREE and without obligation quote in principle.

However, for those customers who require ASSISTANCE WITH DESIGN, general guidance and help with a new fireplace project, our associate company, Embers Projects Ltd, can offer a more IN-DEPTH and PERSONAL service or if required, a full blown DESIGN SERVICE.

Embers Projects Ltd can offer a site visit, to help you through the myriad of options and guidance on the environmental issues associated with your new project. This is a totally independent service carried out by our Technical Director, to assist those clients who feel the need for assistance to ensure their new fireplace will work.

Unlike many other home projects, fireplace and stove installations are covered by a significant amount of LEGISLATION. These include but are not limited to BUILDING REGULATIONS and health and safety considerations. More importantly, it’s paramount that the installation WORKS SAFELY AND DOES NOT ALLOW POISONOUS fumes into your property.

A badly designed installation can be both TROUBLESOME at best and DANGEROUS at worst! Based on over four decades of experience designing fireplaces and developing appliances, and since our opening in 1986 (installing hundreds of fireplaces and wood burning stoves) the Embers Projects Team feel able to offer help and advice. The team at Embers are registered Gas Safe engineers and HETAS approved installers. Our Technical Director and business owner has been a consultant to the Hy4Heat project, and worked with the government’s department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to help design fires to work on HYDROGEN, the future of the gas industry in this country. Our senior installer has almost 30 years working with Embers and is experienced in all aspects of chimneys and flue systems.

By choosing the GUIDANCE OR DESIGN service, there is no further obligation to continue with the Embers team to carry out your project. However, if you do proceed, a portion of the fee for either service can be offset against your final invoice for the complete supply and installation of your project if carried out by the Embers Team.
